I think the differences between men and women are not nearly as significant as we claim. The public personas we present have great polarity but at 2am, naked and secure enough to show our true selves: we are all from the same planet. Those who are able to extend their 2am selves to 2pm attract my interest. I enjoy that person who just is who they are with little regard for what society says they ought to be. I like the man that rejects the preset paramaters of masculinity. He decides for himself what it means to be a man. I also enjoy people that do not feel the need to force their preset parameters on others. There is a third type of person that is of interest to me: the person that gives others the acceptance to be their 2am selves. This is 90% of why I enjoy fucking strangers. I enjoy being that person that accepts them. I like coaxing them to a place outside their comfort zone but a place they have always wanted to go. I speak, breathe, and see them through until they find their calm. That calm is who they are once stripped of the persona. It is not easy. It is true nakedness before a stranger. I am careful to recognize the vulnerability. The response to my acceptance of that vulnerablity has varied from shaking & fetal position on top of me to some difficulty detaching to return to the wife. It is not love or even about me at all. It is acceptance.
